HALLOWEEN 2011

Here it comes again,
HALLOWEEN !!

Spooky, kooky, creepy, and fun! Now it´s time for HALLOWEEN! Time for Ghosts, Gravestones and Graveyards, ghastly stuff, silly-fun tricks, witches and scary black cats and of course wicked pumpkins. Everything is permitted at this celebration.

I.E.S Drago has been working on this issue for years, trying this way to encourage students to get closer to English culture and at the same time to improve both, their English vocabulary in a natural way and enhance their imagination. On the occasion of this celebration, a contest is held in the hall of the high school with a big display of different scary stuff made by students of E.S.O

It is not essential to be a crafting expert to be able to make a huge number of wonderful homemade Halloween decorations that will make your time joyful but only some a little patience altogether with a bit of imagination. Some students have even been aware of the big problem of environment and have made their handmade things by the use of the 3Rs ‘ Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.

This year the turnout of participation has increased and we want to congratulate everyone for his/her/their effort.

From the English department we especially want to make some honourable mentions to all the finalists:

- Maria Román (2ºB) - Violeta Latorre (2ºA) - Yaiza Dominguez (2ºA)
- Alicia Narvaez (2ºB)

This year the winners are: Emilio Delgado, Alejandro Junquera (4ºB) & Noelia Ortega (1ºB)
